Knife Warranty Policy
At Hemker Blacksmithing, every knife is handcrafted and built for performance. I stand behind the materials and workmanship of each piece.
Lifetime Workmanship Warranty
All knives are warranted to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the knife.
This includes:
-
Structural defects in the blade
-
Heat treat failures under normal use
-
Handle construction failures not caused by abuse
-
Guard or hardware failures due to craftsmanship
If a defect is determined to be due to workmanship or material error, the knife will be repaired or replaced at my discretion at no cost to the original owner.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
-
Normal wear and cosmetic changes (scratches, patina, minor surface rust)
-
Edge dulling from regular use
-
Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or improper care
-
Chipping or breakage from prying, throwing, batoning (unless designed for it), or other unintended use
-
Rust resulting from neglect
-
Modifications or sharpening performed by a third party
Hand-forged blades may show minor cosmetic variations — these are part of the handcrafted nature and not considered defects.
