Open Forge Nights
Open Forge Nights are dedicated shop sessions for former Hemker Blacksmithing students who want more time at the anvil and continued access to professional equipment. These evenings are designed for independent project work, skill development, and continued practice in a familiar shop environment.
Eric will be available for general guidance as needed, but these are not structured classes and are intended for those already comfortable working independently in the shop.

Exclusively for former Hemker Blacksmithing students

Held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month (with occasional exceptions)

5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Come and go anytime during that time window

$25 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments

Access to shop equipment, including the power hammer and hydraulic press (after safety refresher)

Bring your own materials or purchase materials in the shop if available

Advance notice is not required but is appreciated

Payment due before leaving for the evening (cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal)
